Who writes the Ultimates?

Mark Millar. Its quite good. You should read it if you haven't had the chance. The problem with it is that its perpetually late. They are only on issue 12, of a supposedly monthly title, and its been being published for about 2 years.

Oh God...

Not the cheesy "french" line?

Really?

You liked the cheesy 'french' line?

That was AWEFUL...But fitting, I suppose. A little too flag-wavy for me.

Rest of it rocked the house.

yes, I liked the cheesey French line.

It was supposed to be flag-wavy. That's what I liked about it. You're talking about a guy who's not only career military, but in his mind, six months ago, he was at the top of the US military fighting in WWII. He hasn't had time to undo that way of thinking and they are presenting him as a gnarled commanding officer from that time period. I liked it.

Plus, it was funny...

True. If you look at it that way, I absolutely agree.

I'm looking forward to the final (for now) issue.

(Volume 1 ends with 13 and I guess relaunches with a new number 1 some time next year)
