Easy son, easy. You can make it, I know you can. Besides, that blood stuff is so messy.

sadly, I have to much work ethic.... so even though I think its unreasonable to come to me in the middle of the day and say "hey we need this two page flyer that we've never mentioned to you before produced and sent out first thing tomorrow morning, because it was supposed to be out yesterday, and yes, we know we haven't given you any time, nor any software appropriate to do it with, but we really really need it can you make that happen?" Something about me just makes we work really hard to make it so... even if I'm only 3 days away from being out of the job anyway...

I suck that way...

*sigh*

I'd have to guess that the lateness of the request means it isn't as high of a priority as they are making it out to be. Therefore, if you work on it tommorrow for Thursday morning send out, it is not going to matter very much. These firedrill tactics just drive people crazy for no good reason. Most of all, don't let those bastards grind you down!

It is good to want to work hard. But, it's not good to let them drive you crazy, and if you let them be stupid and disorganized now, then they'll just do it to the next guy too.

no... its actually pretty time critical. It's for an event that happens next week. Its just late because no one ever thought to tell me to do it before today...

anyway, I got it done... it just irritated me ia all..

I hate that damn work ethic thing. That's what led me to working 16 hour days for three weeks as my co-op at Shell Chemical was coming to a close. I was going to get the project I was working on done, goddamnit. Actually made it, too. My design for their new reactor would save the company ~$50.000,000. Did they build it? Noooo. Did they go with the design those little Dutch ass-kissers proposed, that I showed wouldn't work? Of course they did. Are they in the Allyl Chloride business anymore? No. Why? 'Cause it's too expensive! Why is it too expensive? 'Cause they built a reactor that was about $50,000,000 more than it could have been. @*#$%#!!!!

Er... Sorry. Went into rant mode without thinking about it. I'll just shut up now.

yeah... I've been thinking of switching to a career where work ethic matters... like driving the big rigs... I might need a partner... interested?

Mostly I just want to be able to be able to pick up trucker babes at rest stops by bragging about stuff like "that's right, I'm the only man who ever made the Pittsburgh - Little Rock run in under nine and a half hours... how about it baby?"

Sounds like you've been practicing, trucker man. ;)

Hey little lady, you ever "work the clutch on a big rig" HAR HAR HAR... You know I have a waterbed in the back... how about it toots?

I was thinking of reminding you that there is a whole lot of work to do in teaching, all of it urgent and none of it ever gets done...but I think truck driving is a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better career choice. Let me know if you find a good trucking school. Depending on how the school restructuring goes, I might need a new job.

Next time I pick up a book of matches that has a number on the back, I'll write it down.

Can you save me the matches, too? They're awfully hard to come by now that restaurants are non-smoking.

That's just a theory. I suppose one would actually have to go to a restaurant to know this for certain.
