02:24 pm - on the US Mail...
So on Thursday afternoon, I ordered part of my killer Jammy Jam outfit from some yahooshop in California. I got confirmation that it shipped Friday morning. Today, there it was in my mailbox. All by run of the mill US Priority Mail. Not even express. And Friday there was a hail storm no less. The US Mail kicks ass! Fuck UPS! Fuck UPS up the ass with a chainsaw! And I don't mean that in the nice loving kind of way. Hell yeah.

Also, my legs are now getting sore, and my neck and back still hurt a bit. Shouldn't I be getting less sore two days later and not more?

In my experience, the peak of soreness has always been two days after hard exercise, rather than one. But, for some reason, it always suprises me.

Same here, minus the surprise.

hmmm... so I guess maybe its normal... enough people are saying "oh yeah, 2 days later sucks..." just not used to it... maybe I'll be tip top tomorrow.

It always surprises me too. I don't think I remember hard exercise after two days. I must be getting old.

yeah, and I'm older than you, right? or am I? (28)

Nope, I'm 29 (and 15 months).

Thanks for the compliment. I needed it.

usually if I am gonna get sore it starts the next morning... it may get worse or better, depending on what I do that day, but I usually know by then. That didn't happen this time. I felt fine Friday morning (except for a little pain in my neck from landing wrong repeatedly) but late Friday night my legs started cramping up, and they've been pretty bad today, causing me to forego my workout thus far (friday is my rest day, but saturday is a weight day... I may go and do a little bit of light work and just stay away from the legs). Like the woman said... getting old is hell...

On the upside, once you've been doing it regularly enough, that two-days-later soreness should get a lot easier (or even go away entirely).

I sort of miss getting really sore after weightlifting. At least the pain is a friendly little reminder that you did something productive. ;)

As long as it's the good kind of pain, anyway. Sharp pains... bad.

yeah... I've been working out a lot for the last several months, and I barely notice any kind of pain at all from lifting or tennis anymore... I still get sore when I run, because I don't do that as often. But the wrestling thing was a lot of stuff that I don't do much at all. I'm thinking I'll get used to it pretty soon. But yes, its definitely good pain.
