on lost car stereos

So I lost my car stereo face plate last week and I just today got around to calling to see how much it would cost to get a replacement one. Well, my stereo is 5 years old, and they no longer make it, so they'd have to special order the faceplate (I wonder if that's code for find the retired guy to have him make one by hand) and it would end up costing me about $84, and would take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. This seems ridiculous, so I guess I am in the market for a new car stereo. My needs are relatively simple. I want a CD, a clock, and the ability to hook up my iPod. I guess MP3 cd playing is nice, but I don't really care. Any suggestions? Anything else that I should be aware of? Keep in mind, I am still unemployed.
