My only thought is that there is a stunning lack of both models and musicians in the list. I'd almost believe this was a hottest Actress list, instead of a hottest women list.

Agreed. But that's just how it ended up rolling. That said. Shakira made the top 10 and she's only a musician. And Carmen Electra, while she has done most of those things, I think of her mostly as a model right now.

I think its hard with models, because other than a few very key supermodel examples, they are for the most part very anonymous unless they are actresses too (which is the case of every model who made this list). If I had gone all the way to 100, several other models would have made the list. I stopped at 50 however, because at that point people were not getting enough votes that I felt like they were statistically valid. Hopefully next year I'd have twice as many votes minimum and can therefore have a little more confidence in the results.

As for musicians, five of them did make the top 50 (7 if you count Milla and Carmen). One (3) made the top ten. So that's a pretty consistent 10%, I guess. I thought maybe more would make it, but I guess not. Maybe next year. On the other hand, maybe singers don't have the visibility that actresses have.

It is an interesting point though.
