1) What one thing would you really like to change about yourself? What do you love about yourself?
2) What do you think you'd be like as a boy?
3) If there were a novel with you as the main character, how would it begin? How would it end?
4) Where do you stand on the FCC's current censorship drive. What would you do if you were in charge?
5) the final question is in 10 parts and adapted from the questionairre originally generated by the great Bernard Pivot.:
What is your favorite word?
What is your least favorite word?
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
What turns you off?
What is your favorite curse word?
What sound or noise do you love?
What sound or noise do you hate?
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
What profession would you not like to do?
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

2) If you could have any super power what would it be?
3) What do you think you'd be like if you were a girl (instead of just looking like one :-P )?
4) What's the craziest kinkiest thing you've ever done to a girl (no need to name names)?
5) So if things go well, are you even going to bother to come back from Japan?

I don't feel like posting in my journal.

1)What one thing would you really like to change about yourself? What do you love about yourself?

I would like to make my shins stronger so that I could run much much farther. I love being able to make people laugh. I’m generally good at it.

2) What do you think you'd be like as a boy?

Gay. Seriously? I’d probably be a big dork, because I’m into all the lame kinds of music. But I’m into sports and building stuff, so I might not have been beat up on too much in school. And I’m sure I’d be a big stud at my 10th year reunion.

3) If there were a novel with you as the main character, how would it begin? How would it end?

I used to write those, and they usually ended in suicide – not because I had a death wish of any sort, but merely because it seemed like a great way to end a novel. But all of my novels sort of have me as the main character, and the one I’m beginning now begins with

“There is a beauty in solitude. It’s the same beauty one finds in a single snowflake. My solitude was a world of snowflakes – a solitude as white as snow. My jacket was red as blood. The edges of my fingernails were black as ebony. And if fifteen was too old to be reading fairy tales on the way home from school, then maybe I was only fourteen that winter.”

In reality, were I to write a novel based on my life as it stands right now, I would begin it the day I turned 10 and broke down in tears at a beautiful restaurant in Niagara Falls because of 1. the realization that I would never again by in single digits and might not live to reach double digits, and 2. the fear that I would now have to become responsible for other people. I would follow my life through the years of being responsible for several other people to my current state of finally, finally, not being responsible for
anyone but myself, but being at the point in my life where I am expected to consider taking on such responsibilities again.
Or else I’d start it when I began running, and end it with the Olympics.

4) Where do you stand on the FCC's current censorship drive. What would you do if you were in charge?

Can you elaborate? I know little to nothing of this, so I looked up the FCC website where it started to ring a bell, but still… I’ve been a little out of it, as far as keeping up with the news for the last 20 years.

5) the final question is in 10 parts and adapted from the questionnaire originally generated by the great Bernard Pivot.:
What is your favorite word? cinnamon – it sounds like it tastes
What is your least favorite word? Like – it’s both overused and understated
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Rent, apparently. Generally speaking, certain types of music, emotional responses to music, hearing and seeing things that are completely in their essence truth.
What turns you off? smoking
What is your favorite curse word? Jesus Fuck
What sound or noise do you love? Laughter – real laughter, waves on a beach, perfect silence interrupted by wind through trees
What sound or noise do you hate? Metal on metal, Velcro pulling up, electronic feedback
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Heh – what profession? I want to teach music, edit children’s fiction, write, act, and sing for a living. Which is my profession?
What profession would you not like to do? I would not want to be a doctor. I’m just no good with blood.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? We made a mistake. I’m going to put you and everyone you care about back on Earth..

Re: I don't feel like posting in my journal.

4) Basically, congress just approved legislation saying that the FCC could raise their fines tenfold. (from $35K to $350K per infraction). Since FCC fines are at their discretion and without an appeals process, this effectively, this means that any non-major local station (radio or tv) can be put out of business by the FCC simply deciding that they don't like them. The FCC has basically decided that they don't like anything blatantly sexual and have pressed harsh fines because of it. Key in point, the Janet Jackson incident, Howard Stern. On the other hand, people that they do like have been essentially given free passes without incident. Key in point, Oprah Winfrey happened to have a show where she was talking about "deviant sex" the same morning that Howard Stern talked to the guy in the the Paris Hilton sex tape. Howard was essentially fined off the air in several markets for saying "did she ever put her tongue in the area of your rear end that is generally considered an exit." Oprah on the other hand talked about group sex, described various types of oral sex in detail and talked about "tossing salads" in much more detail than Howard did.

The FCC officially responded that they were fining Howard and not Oprah as Oprah deserves more leway since she is "beloved."

5) Good answering of the Pivot questionairre. I am impressed.
