Vincent D'Oforio was very good in The Cell , which is a great film and totally under rated.

There are definetly actors I think are hot as Hell but are still very good actors. But my tastes run a little different. For instance, I think that Allison Hannigan was smoking hot on Buffy and I though she was very good in the role of Willow. Of the films she has made, she hasnt done a lot of different stuff, but her comdey had been very well done.

Another example is Jessica Alba. Hottness off the charts. And she was excellent in Sin City and very good on Dark Angel . She was even good in Fantastic Four & Into the Blue both of which were bad films. I think its more about what choices an actress makes and roles offered, and a lot of that is luck and managment.

Having said that, Id watch Jennifer Love Hewitt read out of the yellow pages...

Oh, don't get me wrong. I can think of several actors who I think are hot and talented. I think that's what really makes you a standout. Jessica Alba is totally a good example. She actually popped into my mind when I was writing this, but I specifically disqualified her as she's actually a very good actress, despite being limited for the most part to pretty girl roles. Another of my personal favorites is Dominique Swain and to go with people a little more relavant, Scarlett Johannson and Mia Kirshnir, who were both in the movie Black Dahlia which I just saw. As opposed to Hilary Swank, also in the movie, but in my opinion a complete dog. An extremely talented dog with a great ass, but a dog nonetheless.

On the other hand, I'm not looking for Jessica, Carmen or Love to get that break through Oscar role anytime soon ever. But I have no problem with watching them "do what they do."

You know what would be an awesome film. Jennifer Love Hewitt, reading the yellow pages, on a trampoline! Hell, screw film, make that a daily television series. Give it its own channel.

What would be better-Jennifer Love Hewitt, reading comic books in her underwear. And you could pick the camera angle [in case you wanted to see the pages of the comic book.] Have her wear under roos of which ever superhero she is reading, and have her do different voices for the characters. You could do it on PPV and charge $12.95 every week...

perfect. How do we get funding to produce such a thing?

Pitch is to Mark Cuban for HDTV? Tell him he owes us for not fixing the Pirates...

you think he'd let us maintain creative control? I'd hate to have network muckety mucks screwing up the formula by like expecting her to read other stuff or wanting her to wear non-underoo lingerie or something.

yeah that's why Pay Per View would work better. IF you had it on a network, then you'd get into a while sponsorship mess. And make bad choices. For instance, if you had a deal with Marvel, and they wanted her to read some dreck like CIVIL WAR--shit, you could have her bare assed in leather chaps, with midgets bouncing quarters off of her ass, and you'd still have people tuning out in droves.

It definetly needs a quality check all around

hey! I'm actually digging civil war. I don't want to. I feel bad about it. But I am enjoying it.

Also Black Dalhia was a horrendous film. Right up there with the Wicker Man and Hard Candy as worst film of the year.

I don't know that I'd say it was the worst film of the year. There are a lot of bad movies, but it was pretty damn crappy given its hype, yeah. I was going to review it here, but I never got around to it.
