It's a lot of work, but you could write up a quick form letter something like this:

"I've noticed that my friend chrismaverick's photos are no longer visible. Apparently, he has contacted you [Flickr] multiple times about this, and taken steps to correct the situation. Your value depends on community members like chrismaverick. As a member of Flickr, I'm very concerned about this, and considering taking my business elsewhere."

Then send a message to all of your regular commenters and ask them to send the message to Flickr. Maybe hundreds of people will make a difference where one didn't.

Another thing would be to try posting your story to Slashdot or Boing Boing. Those sites are usually quick to jump on tales of social networking censorship.

a few people actually did. The problem is (more or less) resolved right now. I just don't have time to write about it while I'm at work. I'm sure I'll address it in today's 365. The thing is, its not really new. Flickr has done this sort of thing before, and been slashdotted for it. They've not cared. That said, it probably couldn't hurt.
