on being as fast as ten fast men and other tall tales...

I am as fast as ten fast men! Ok, not so much. I hadn't really gone running in a long time, so I decided to give it a go today. Just finished doing a 3+ mile run and I have discovered that I am definitely not a teenager anymore. Despite having smoked all those years, my lungs feel fine, meaning either the surgeon general is wrong about the harmful effects of smoking, the 4 or 5 months since I quit have completely reverse any damage I have done, or my lungs are so much more superior to that of my mortal kin that mere earthly carcinogens have no noticeable effect on the breathing ability of my manly form. The problem is that my legs are not nearly so lucky. My left (good) knee has been sore for the last couple days (since the party). My bad knee actually held up much better than I thought. Anyway, I hope its just temporary. They're already starting to feel better. My bad ankle (also on my right foot) did end up getting pretty sore, but that's to be expected. But really, you can't be a genetic freak without some pain.

The worst part about living at the very top of mount oliver is that if you go jogging, no matter where you go, coming back is uphill... sigh.

If you're a comic book fan, you may want to try this quiz in apestyle's journal. Its pretty hard, but fun.

I'm deeply conflicted on Jammy Jam for this year. Please vote in the poll if you haven't already, because I really need to get a good sample on this one. I honestly prefer to have it as close to my birthday as possible, but so far people are all pushing for the later date. Hmmm... I wonder if I am crazy enough to attempt two more parties this summer? *sigh*.

May write 1000 words of free flowing hostility soon on some stuff that I was thinking about when talking with wuttd. But I need to let it bake in my head a little more.

Wow... I'm tired... I need a shower...
